At Sunny Day Learning Center our mission is to provide affordable, quality childcare for all families in the community in a loving, nurturing, warm and educational environment.  Sunny Day Learning Center focuses on children ages 2-6.

Our Programs

       Age 2-3 years

 This program focuses on:

 Encouraging students to explore and discover through play and group activities.  Promoting self-help skills such as self-feeding/dressing, caring for toys. Developing their social and emotional skills through play, such as sharing, turn taking and following directions.  Encouraging them to use words to express their feelings and wants. Developing their motor and cognitive skills through simple art activities, music, and phonics.

      Age 3-4 years

This program focuses on:

Promoting emotional and social development.  Promoting active participation in small-group discussions and learn to use materials and activities.  Developing skills like following directions and be attentiveness as a part of a large group.  Developing auditory and visual discrimination skills, problem solving skills, fine motor skills (using pencils, crayons, scissors, etc.) and gross motor skills (large muscle development).

      Age 4-6 years

This program focuses on:

Providing an environment that nurtures social skills.  Encouraging confidence and positive self-esteem.  Providing children, a combination of self-directed and teacher-directed activities to channel all their energy and excitement for their gross and fine motor development.  Establishing different learning centers throughout the classroom with a strong emphasis on phonics, reading, writing, language, and math.  Developing a strong sense of confidence necessary for a successful transition into Kindergarten.
